Are You Creating The Buzz?
Culture isn’t just how we do the work, it’s how we do everything
Creating A Culture Of Safety And Stretch
You’re on the right path. You’ve looked at your team and realised that while you are doing the right things and taking the right steps, something is missing. Leadership is working hard to develop and implement a culture that allows everyone to work well together and achieve the results you’re looking for, but you know that culture doesn’t fall squarely on the shoulders of leadership. So what do you need to be doing differently? How can you encourage your team to think about culture differently and really take it to the next level?
You need more than just a culture on paper, you need THE BUZZ.
Firstly, we need to understand that creating a buzz around culture comes back to our everyday behaviours. It comes back to who we are as humans. It comes back to our team’s passion and drive for what they do and their own motivation to do their best. It starts with this motivation and if we as leaders fuel this motivation it gains momentum. Momentum continues to grow and that’s how we create The Buzz.
The Buzz will change the way your entire organisation views not only the work, but also themselves.
Your team will be excited by a culture that is founded in continuous learning, one that embraces challenges as an opportunity to grow together. A culture that values the input of every person that makes it up. A culture where every member of your team understands that their actions have a direct impact and they are actively working to make it better every single day. In order to do this we need to first create space for psychological safety, where everyone feels supported in showing up as their authentic selves. A space where it is safe to be challenged, to be stretched, to learn and to grow as an individual and as a team.
One key difference about The Buzz is this process involves the whole team and throughout The Buzz Workshops everyone in the room will feel empowered to make a change. Together you’ll be deciding on what that culture looks like and how you would like to implement it moving forward, taking the stress and pressure off the shoulders of your leaders. This session is the momentum you need to turn ideas into actions and finally overcome the roadblocks that have stopped your team from getting to the next level.
We all know that culture is the secret ingredient that is the difference between staying stagnant, or having your strategies work and propelling the organisation forward.
So can you really afford not to have The Buzz in your teams?
If you are ready to make a lasting change within your organisation then this is your chance.
Where is your culture currently at?
You might be sitting there wondering if The Buzz Workshop is really the right next step for you. Here is the culture ladder showing the 6-stages of The Buzz. Using the Buzz Diagnostic, an aggregated report that shows where your staff think the culture is sitting, to guide the discussions and actions forward, we can explore the cultural pillars of: Collective Growth Mindset; Compelling Environment and Authentic Dialogue.
Where do you think your culture sits?
Where are you sitting right now?
And how do we move up the ladder?
Whether your organisation is sitting in Corrosion, Confusion, Controversy, or Clarity, The Buzz Workshop might just be the thing you need to accelerate your progress and set you on the right path towards a committed and collaborative culture.

How has The Buzz Transformed YOUR CULTURE?
Tracey delivered a highly engaging whole day workshop with our entire staff. She sensitively navigated the “cultural ladder” and provided a framework for staff to buy into “The Buzz” and there has certainly been a buzz about the place since then! The following day Tracey worked closely with our leadership team to establish our Minimal Viable Practices and to help us on our journey to build our professional practices. We are so excited about where this journey will take us and we look forward to continuing to work with Tracey and her team throughout the year!

To say that your workshop had an impact would be a gross understatement. Staff are absolutely buzzing and I cannot thank you enough for setting the tone for the year. We have done a lot of work as a school in developing a school wide pedagogy, ensuring that every learning environment is given the best chance to succeed. Having you work with staff on collaborative practices and sharing with us your knowledge, research and resources to help us work in a collaborative and thriving environment is the next step for our school as we seek to continue our journey of improvement.

We Need To Create The Change Together
You might be realising that The Buzz is the right next step for your organisation, but still be wondering what this workshop looks like in action. Let me share with you a story I see time and time again when I work with organisations on creating The Buzz.
Recently I worked with a team of over 100 people within an organisation to create The Buzz. The most important thing we addressed in this workshop was the idea that if everyone else changed the culture would be better. The truth is, every single person in the organisation is responsible for the culture, while leadership plays an important role in impacting culture, it’s the everyday moments that make or break it.
Once everyone is on board and ready to take accountability for the role they play in creating the culture, then we are ready to make some magic happen. We dive deep into questions like ‘how can we understand ourselves more to contribute to the collective?’. We get clear on what the patterns of behaviour are that help us create a culture of learning together, growing together and working together. We look at how each person in the organisation is choosing to show up and how they can build strong relationships within their teams so that not only is the work getting done, but the entire team is thriving.
Whether you are looking to create The Buzz within a specific team, for your leaders, or within your whole organisation, The Buzz Workshops are going to be the catalyst for momentum within your organisation.

Our leadership team have taken the buzz and are running with it. As a team we found Tracey’s seminar engaging, thought provoking and highly motivational. We have reflected on our past, reaffirmed our direction and have made commitments to build the buzz into our practice to sustain the momentum. Thanks Tracey!

Booking a day with Tracey for our whole staff was exactly what was needed. Tracey is not only ultra professional but she engaged, on a personal level, with all staff across the day’s program. Following our day with Tracey, I have noticed an incredible change in the way in which staff are communicating with each other. Lots of catchy phrases are becoming everyday language – staff really related to DBJ’s. As leader of the school I believe Tracey was able to refocus my mindset from being reactive and always finding reasons for “why we couldn’t” to being far more proactive and having an attitude of “Why not?”.

Tracey’s Buzz Workshops have brought a ‘buzz’ within the Leadership team enabling stronger collaboration as we love working in this ‘format’, it’s FUN. It has placed a lens and made all members aware of the veranda, the bigger picture and not just own area of ‘your expertise’. Our team building has had a different layer of meaning, it’s more meaningful because it’s more about ‘building’ the team and not to problem solve so much. We’ve used the strategies in staff meetings, which they have loved, and felt more valued because it’s fun and very collaborative.
